I care. I care a lot. It’s kinda my thing
— Leslie Knope

About Me:

I am a New York-native who self defines as Internet American and a staff writer for Purch Media websites Tom's Guide & Laptop Mag.

There I report on tech news, review laptops and tablets, and write how tos. We look to enable our customers to make well educated purchases and understand how to make the most of what they own.

Formerly of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Rizzoli International Publishing, I graduated from Bard College in 2006 with a BA in Literature. I have since written for the Patek Phillipe International Magazine, Tech Radar, The Content Strategist & TVMix.

I am also:

  • a music obsessive who thinks too much about the streaming service wars,
  • the kind of person who drinks iced coffee throughout winter,
  • and ready to tell people that I watch wrestling.

On Writing:

I wanted to write for a living for as long as I can remember. This came about through an obsessive reading of the film reviews in the NY Times. Then in high school, I wrote for the newspaper The Packer Pelican for all four years, and at Bard, I wrote for, and was the A&E editor of, The Bard Observer.

The idea of being a full-stack-employee, someone who can contribute in ways beyond just their title, has led me to compliment this passion for writing with a variety of other skills. Photoshop and InDesign fluency from working in publishing. Audio editing in Sound Studio for a podcast. Experience with multiple CMS engines. I've even written outside of my comfort zone, with articles about politics and the complications of public transportation.

This website is to tie the disparate threads of what I do together. Thank you for visiting.
